Multiple Solutions
The Digital Identification group of companies
offers a complete line of re-transfer ID card
printers and related lamination and encoding
accessories. Start with the very reasonably
priced XID 430 and obtain results superior to
virtually any direct-to-card printer. Or move up
to the XID 440 for increased speed and support
for numerous encoding and lamination options.
And for maximum flexibility, select the XID 450
and obtain the performance you need to manage
even central issuance-type production volumes.
Ease of Use
Despite the performance, XID printer solutions
are easy to operate. The printers feature a
smart LCD display that provides printer status
information via text messages and traffic
light-type changes in the color of the LCD
display (green=go/OK, yellow=warning,
red=problem/stop).
Blank card stock is loaded into a pull-out
drawer that can accommodate 300 standard cards,
and cards can be added to the drawer while the
printer is printing. The card drawer is
removable and thus can be stored securely when
the printer is not in use, and additional card
drawers are available for customers that
frequently alternate between card types.
Spools of the standard color ribbon (YMCK) and
re-transfer film can print up to 1,000
single-sided cards before requiring replacement,
and replacement is simplified by the use of
color-coded cartridges.
Reliable Printing on Difficult Cards
The XID re-transfer technology makes it possible
to print onto a variety of card materials with
outstanding results, including cards made of
PVC, PET 80/20 and 60/40, 100% PET, ABS and
Polycarbonate. And the XID re-transfer printing
process produces spectacular results compared to
direct-to-card printers when printing onto cards
containing electronic circuitry.
Encoding and Lamination Options
All models in the XID family are capable of
producing 1D and 2D barcodes, and all models
optionally support magnetic stripe encoding. The
XID 440 and XID 450 can also support virtually
any prevalent form of contact or contactless
encoding, plus a variety of in-line lamination
modules (reference the EDIsecure Overlamination
Solutions brochure for additional details).
Investment Protection
EDIsecure XID printers can be upgraded at a
later date to provide enhanced functionality.
For example, via a firmware and driver change,
an XID 430 can be upgraded to an XID 440 or 450
to provide support for chip encoding and/or
lamination. And as evidence that XID printer
solutions are built for the long-haul, all
models include a lifetime warranty on the
printhead provided the recommended supplies from
Digital Identification Solutions are used.

430 MAG Upgrade Option
Printer with HICO/LOCO magnetic stripe encoder
XID 430 w/ dual HiCo/LoCo Mag Encoder
+ $900.00

The EDIsecure XID Re-Transfer ID Card Printer -
XID 430 MAG Upgrade Option is a color / monochrome
sublimation printer which includes an encoder
for magnetic stripe cards.
This encoder allows you to personalize your
cards in two different modes:
-
ISO 7811 Norms
using tracks 1, 2 and 3 (standard factory
settings)
-
Custom mode for
specific applications (with different track
formats, density per track, start and stop
characters…). For magnetic specific encoding
developments, please ask us the programming
guide or contact our technical support.
Not forgetting to mention that the encoder can
be defined by the user to operate with either a
low (300 Oersteds), medium (2750 Oersteds) or
high (4000 Oersteds) coercivity, by a simple
click via the Windows driver. To set the medium
coercivity, select high coercivity in the
Windows driver.
